Only candidates who meet all of these conditions can apply for this Main Exam:

  • Held the required mandatory eligibility for the advertised post.

Eligibility Criteria

As per UP Animal Husbandry Department Veterinary Pharmacist Service Rules, 2025, Part-4, Rule-8.

Mandatory Educational Qualification:

  1. Passed Intermediate examination (Biology) from UP Board or an equivalent government-recognized examination.
  2. 2-year 3-month Diploma in Veterinary Pharmacy from a university/institution established by law in India.
  3. Registration with the competent council/institution, if applicable.
  4. Knowledge of Hindi in Devanagari script.

Important note on registration: Per a letter from the Additional Chief Secretary, Animal Husbandry Section-3, UP Government (dated 20 May 2026), no Veterinary Pharmacy Council currently exists in Uttar Pradesh — so the registration requirement above does not apply for this recruitment cycle.

Preferential (Tie-Breaking) Qualifications:

  1. Minimum 2 years of service in the Territorial Army, OR
  2. National Cadet Corps (NCC) “B” certificate.

Age Limit

Candidates must have turned 18 years by 1 July of the calendar year in which vacancies are advertised, and must not exceed 40 years of age as of that date. Higher age relaxation applies for SC/ST, OBC, and other categories notified by the Government from time to time.

Reservation Certificates & Exam Centre

  • Candidates claiming reserved-category or age-relaxation benefits must obtain the relevant caste/reservation certificate, in the prescribed format, from a competent authority — issued on or before the application deadline — and must be ready to produce it to the Commission when required.
  • EWS category applicants specifically need an EWS certificate valid for FY 2026-27 (based on FY 2025-26 income), obtained between 1 April 2026 and 5 October 2026.
