SBI Specialist Cadre Officer Recruitment 2026-27: SBI Wealth Management New Notification, 211 Vacancies

State Bank of India has released a brand-new Wealth Management Specialist Cadre Officer notification — and it’s easy to confuse this with the Wealth Management SCO drive from December 2025. It isn’t the same one. This is Advertisement No. CRPD/SCO/2026-27/23, dated 4 September 2026, covering 211 vacancies across 7 distinct posts — Zonal Head, Regional Head, Relationship Manager-Team Lead, Investment Specialist, Investment Officer, VP Wealth, and AVP Wealth — with CTC running up to ₹97 lakh for the top post.

Selection is entirely interview-based (no written exam), applications close 25 September 2026, and this guide breaks down every post’s eligibility, experience requirement, pay structure, and circle-wise vacancy split straight from the official advertisement — so you know exactly which post you qualify for before the window shuts.

Is This the Same as the December 2025 SBI Wealth Management Recruitment?

No — these are two separate notifications. The earlier SBI Wealth Management SCO drive (Advertisement No. CRPD/SCO/2025-26/17) covered only VP Wealth (SRM), AVP Wealth (RM), and Customer Relationship Executive, with vacancies increased to 1,146 and applications extended to 10 January 2026. This new notification, CRPD/SCO/2026-27/23 (4 September 2026), is a distinct cycle covering 7 different posts — including two posts (Zonal Head and Regional Head) that weren’t part of the earlier drive at all — with its own 211 vacancies and a fresh 4-25 September 2026 application window.

If you already applied to the December 2025 cycle, that application has no bearing on this one — you’ll need to apply separately if you’re eligible for any of these 7 posts.

Selection Process

  1. Shortlisting — the Bank’s shortlisting committee decides parameters; merely meeting minimum qualification/experience does not guarantee an interview call. Provisional shortlisting is done without verifying original documents.
  2. Interview — one or more rounds of personal/telephonic/video interview, carrying 100 marks. Qualifying marks are decided by the Bank.
  3. CTC Negotiation — conducted individually with candidates during or after the interview process.
  4. Merit List — prepared in descending order of interview marks only. Where candidates tie at the cut-off, ranking is by descending age.
  5. Document Verification — conducted at the time of interview/joining; candidature is cancelled if claims aren’t substantiated with original documents.
  6. Engagement — subject to the candidate being declared medically fit, and to SBI’s service and conduct rules for the post.

FAQ

Is this the same as SBI’s earlier Wealth Management recruitment (December 2025) ?

No. That was Advertisement No. CRPD/SCO/2025-26/17 (VP Wealth, AVP Wealth, and Customer Relationship Executive only, with vacancies increased to 1,146). This is a new, separate notification — CRPD/SCO/2026-27/23, dated 4 September 2026 — covering 7 distinct posts.

What is the application window for SBI SCO Wealth Management 2026-27 ?

Online applications are open from 4 September 2026 to 25 September 2026.

What is the application fee ?

₹750 for UR/EWS/OBC candidates; no fee for SC/ST/PwBD candidates.

What is the contract period for these posts ?

5 years, renewable for another 4 years at the Bank’s discretion, subject to fulfilling any conditions the Bank may stipulate.

What is the highest CTC offered in this recruitment ?

Up to ₹97 lakh, for the Zonal Head (Retail) post.

Is there a written exam for this recruitment ?

No. Selection is via shortlisting followed by interview (100 marks) and CTC negotiation — there is no written test mentioned in the official advertisement.

How many circle preferences can a candidate select ?

For the five posts requiring circle preference (Relationship Manager-Team Lead, Investment Specialist, Investment Officer, VP Wealth, AVP Wealth), candidates must indicate three different circles in priority order. No change request is entertained after submission.

Will previously non-joined or resigned SBI contract officers be considered ?

Candidates who were selected and issued an offer letter in a past WBPM recruitment but did not join are debarred for 2 years from the date of non-joining. Those who resigned after being engaged on contract are similarly debarred for 2 years, and those who resigned after a caution notice was issued are barred from all future SBI recruitment.

Can a candidate apply for more than one post ?

Yes — candidates can apply for more than one post in this advertisement, provided they fulfil the eligibility criteria for each post applied for.

Author’s Suggestion

The Zonal Head and Regional Head posts weren’t part of the earlier December 2025 cycle at all — if you have 12+ years of leadership experience in wealth/retail banking, this is a genuinely new opportunity, not a repeat of a notification you may have already checked and moved past.
