The Bank may increase or decrease the number of vacancies as per its requirement.

Nationality/Citizenship

A candidate must be one of the following as on 01.08.2026:

  • A Citizen of India, or
  • A subject of Nepal, or
  • A subject of Bhutan, or
  • A Tibetan refugee who came to India before 1 January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or

Work Experience Required for BOB LBO

Candidates need a minimum of 1 year post-qualification experience as an Officer in any Scheduled Commercial Bank listed in the Second Schedule of the Reserve Bank of India, as on 01.08.2026. Key points:

  • Experience of less than 6 months in any organisation will not be counted, unless it is part of current employment.
  • Experience in clerical cadre will not be considered for eligibility.
  • Candidates must submit an Experience Certificate/job profile certified by their employer(s). If the job profile does not substantially match a Scale-I officer’s role in Bank of Baroda, the application will be summarily rejected at any stage.

Local Language Proficiency

Candidates must be proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding the local language of the state they are applying for. Candidates shortlisted in the online exam must qualify a Local Language Proficiency Test (LPT); failing this, they cannot appear for the interview. However, candidates who submit a 10th or 12th standard mark sheet/certificate showing they studied the specified local language as a subject are exempted from this test.

The starting basic pay is Rs. 48,480, which increases by Rs. 2,000 per year for 7 years, then by Rs. 2,340 per year for 2 years, and further by Rs. 2,680 per year for 7 years, reaching a maximum basic pay of Rs. 85,920. One advance increment is granted to selected candidates having 1 year or more experience as an Officer in a Scheduled Commercial Bank. Besides basic pay, selected candidates get Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, and other bank-specific allowances and perquisites as per the industry-level bipartite settlement applicable to bank officers.

BOB LBO Location of Posting, Probation & Service Bond

Location of Posting

Selected candidates will be posted within the state for which they applied, for the first 12 years of service or until their promotion to SMGS-IV grade, whichever is earlier. After that, the Bank may post them at any branch or office anywhere in India, at its discretion.

Probation Period

Selected candidates will be on probation for 12 months (1 year) of active service from the date of joining the Bank.

Service Bond

Selected candidates must execute a service bond to serve the Bank for a minimum of 3 years after joining. If a candidate leaves before completing 3 years of active service, they must pay the Bank an amount equal to 3 months’ gross salary, subject to a maximum of Rs. 2 lakh.
